RESTON, VA — May 25, 2021 — Acuity, Inc is honored to announce it has been selected as a 2021 Best Place to Work by the Washington Business Journal (WBJ). This is Acuity’s 7th WBJ Best Places to Work award. Acuity has placed as second in the extra-large category.

The Best Places to Work results are quantitative, based on survey responses from employees themselves, rather than a panel of outside judges. Acuity was one of only ten extra-large category employers honored this year.

“I continue to be extremely humbled by the recognition Acuity has received as a Best Place to Work,” stated Acuity President and CEO Rui Garcia. “We strive to constantly improve to meet our employees’ needs and I think that is the real reason why our colleagues reward us with their kind words, their loyalty, and their dedication.  It is critically important to sustain a work environment where our people are supported and appreciated; this is core to our mission. When you treat your people right, they treat your clients right and growth follows.”

Even with the market disruptions that marked 2020 for every business, Acuity grew over 30% year-over-year and continues to serve the federal government in support of mission-critical projects and technical infrastructure modernization. While the company currently operates in a remote environment, colleagues routinely find time to network online and in socially distanced in-person settings. Moreover, employees are encouraged to take personal days off for mental health, and covid fatigue as needed which they report has been incredibly beneficial during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rankings of the Best Places to Work honorees are featured in the May issue of the Washington Business Journal as well as on the WBJ website. For more information, click here.
